Adriana Castro-Convers, PhD is a psychologist licensed in Pennsylvania and Florida.  She is also a Certified Reiki Practitioner and holds certifications in Spiritual Counseling and Trauma & Recovery/INTL.  She is a dedicated leader and activist serving in advisory boards and volunteering for special projects in her local community.

Dr. Castro-Convers worked for over 15 years in an outpatient community mental health clinic setting providing therapeutic services to under served populations and acting as clinical supervisor to masters and doctoral level students.  Over her combined 25+ years in practice, she has offered trainings, workshops and taught at local universities on issues related to recovery from religious trauma, increasing awareness on violence committed against black transgender women,  and "helping other healers heal."

Dr. Castro-Convers is currently in private practice offering individual, couples and family therapies employing a uniquely tailored approach to therapy that weaves multiple therapeutic approaches, including: strength-based, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic/Relational, Feminist and LGBTQ+ affirming approaches to counseling.  Dr. Castro-Convers has recently felt a calling to shift her practice towards also incorporating healing and recovery for fellow healers and caregivers by providing them a safe space where they can choose to openly be themselves in a non-judgemental environment. Through a sincere commitment to guiding individuals to meet life's challenges in this way, she inspires fellow healers and caregivers to prioritize their own well-being.

Dr. Castro-Convers works with individuals, couples, and families to facilitate change, promote personal growth, greater contentment, and personal effectiveness.  She has the training and knowledge to provide assessments in accordance with the WPATH Standards of Care for transgender individuals who are seeking letters of support for gender-confirmation surgery or other forms of trans-related care.
